14th July 2016 GIGAFINAL

The Gigafinal, third leg of the UK Delancey Chess Challenge took place in Manchester at the weekend.  We had four boys enter LUCAS MOYSER in the U9’s, EDWARD EVANS in the U8’s, MAX PARKHOUSE in the U10’s and ANDREW KO-FERRIGNO in the U11’s.  They all did us proud with two,  LUCAS and MAX both winning through to the Plate Competition in September.

In all over 45000 children entered this competition from all across the UK.  Only 2000 got through to the Gigafinal, a remarkable achievement for our Club that four of those were ours. The results were as follows:

LUCAS MOYSER 4 points with 3 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss.  MAX PARKHOUSE 3.5 points with 3 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses.  EDWARD EVANS 3 points with 3 wins and 3 losses and ANDREW KO-FERRIGNO 1.5 points.  All should be proud of themselves. gigafinalists
